After over a year of experimenting with making quarter pipes, I believe I’ve finally gotten them (nearly) perfect.
The transition radius is at unique degree, giving enough vert to blast airs while still allowing for precise, technical control, all while remaining compact and small.
Each ramp is built from 3/8-inch birch plywood, providing solid weight and stability so you can sesh without needing sticky tack or filler.
Every ramp is left unfinished and sanded to a slightly lower grit than most, allowing the wood to develop its own patina and soften naturally over time with use allowing for each ramp to develop its own character with use!
The coping is made from mild steel for a realistic grind feel. Each piece is pre-finished to prevent surface rust, though regular waxing is recommended for the smoothest grinds.
Overall dimensions of the Compact Quarter are 14 cm wide × 13.5 cm long × 8 cm high.
